It’s been a long time since myself & DJ Cable collaborated on a mixtape and since the unmistakable sound of UK Garage has been making a mainstream comeback over the last few months we figured now was as good a time as any to throw down a little musical synergy.
Mr Cable is an Essex native and I went to school in Croydon (RIP Reeves Corner) so we’ve been indoctrinated from young to appreciate the sweet 2step sound, even though this mix touches a little on bassline, future garage & grime too.
Rather than explore the darker, less-mainstream sounds of the scene we’ve put together a mix featuring 15 of the tracks that we’re both regularly playing out; remixes, revivals and original pieces alike.
I would argue that there is no better club music than garage, and to see dance floors full of 90′s babies skanking out to sweet 2step sounds makes me very happy indeed.
